Synthetic Biology

Under the trend of clean skincare and green consumption, synthetic biology, hailed as the next-generation bio-manufacturing engine, is revolutionizing cosmetic ingredient development. Unlike traditional chemical synthesis, this technology transforms microbial cells into "smart bioactive factories" by precisely engineering intracellular production processes to yield safer and more efficient ingredients. It overcomes petrochemical dependency and high-pollution/high-energy-consumption bottlenecks of conventional methods, offering a sustainable solution for the cosmetics industry.

OUR INNOVATION

ANECO has pioneered microbial total synthesis of bisabolol (BioSyn-Bisabolol) through two core technologies: chassis cell metabolic engineering and functional gene cluster intelligent mining. Traditional bisabolol production relies on plant extraction constrained by complex purification processes and low conversion rates, while existing chemical synthesis suffers from chiral control limitations that compromise purity for high-end applications. By designing microbial cell factories that enable continuous directional synthesis of pure (–)-α-bisabolol through reconstructed metabolic pathways, ANECO achieves 100% natural configuration consistency with 99% purity - surpassing chemical synthesis in both activity and purity while establishing an efficient biosynthesis platform.
