Salicylic Acid

Salicylic acid, also known as β-hydroxy acid, is an oil-soluble substance that can penetrate into lipid-rich pores, remove acne dirt accumulated in the pores, loosen acne plugs, and exert some anti-inflammatory effects. It is an effective ingredient for treating acne and can be combined used in cleansers, emollients, and creams. It is also used as a preservative in cosmetics.
