DESCRIPTION
AC-DHA is the simplest ketose sugar with 3 active groups that can participate in various reactions. The ketone functional group in AC-DHA can chemically react with the amino group of the amino acid of epidermal cytokeratin (Maillard reaction) to form a brown polymer, and this reaction is harmless to the skin. AC-DHA can be used as a raw material for cosmetic formulations to prevent excessive evaporation of skin moisture, act as a moisturizer and protect the skin from ultraviolet radiation, and can also be used as a sun-tanned complexion simulator.
